About Lorraine

My love for fashion started when I was a young girl. At the age of 14, I won the Regional Award, National Award and Best Garment Award at the 1978 Haywrights Fabric Fashion Awards. By 1980 at the age of 16 with the encouragement of my family and my Honorary Uncle Designer Colin Cole I started my dressmakers apprenticeship.

After having worked in several major New Zealand fashion houses over the years I decided to follow my dream, and in 1990 established my own label “Sheshee” to pursue my love for bridal and high fashion. “I love creating heirloom quality gowns, whether they be of a modern or classical styling that never goes out of fashion. I hope the gowns that I make will be treasured and passed down to future generations as they are made to stand the test of time.”

As a bride you shouldn’t have to settle for less and suffer the disappointment of a mass produced off the rack gown that compromises both style and fit on your most important day. You can have made your one of a kind perfectly fitted gown that expresses your unique vision and style at a reasonable cost by me.

All my clients receive my personalised one on one service throughout. Every gown is exquisitely handcrafted with the highest attention given to detail by me personally.

I will also make gowns for bridesmaids, mother of the bride or groom, flower girls & evening and special occasion wear.
